After eviction Non-Commercial House abandons its old self, and flutters across London, to become something else in different spaces.

Films are on the first Thursday of every month from 8 PM.

The next film night will be at Library House where we will screen the first three episodes of Angels in America.

Angels in America (2003, 176 min), first 3 episodes: Playwright Tony Kushner adapts eir political epic about the AIDS crisis during the mid-eighties, around a group of separate but connected individuals.

Talk and discussion by London NoBorders//2 December 2009, 7pm
While the migration regime is fortifying itself and setting up rings of
defence around European wealth, inner control is tightening to keep
public order, at a time where the nation state already seems to be a
dead corpse.
This talk and discussion will explore how the idea of "controlling a
nation state's" outer borders and inner control are connected. It will
also introduce into the idea of the planned demonstrations on Saturday
23rd January 2010. There will be two demonstrations on that day in
London:
One will be at St. Pancras, where the UK (e-)border agency put up their
controls in the middle of London. The second one will be at Piccadilly
Circus where, while commuters, tourists and clubbers stare at the
never-ending stream of commercials at ground level, they themselves are
under constant observation by security and police in their cosy CCTV
headquarters below ground.

Monday’s Womyn’s Coding Club in conjunction with LibHouse presents:
*Copy me – i want to travel* a film by Pauline Boudry, Brigitta Kuster,
Renate Lorenz, 68 min. 2004

Together, three women filmmakers and three women computer specialists,
we take a research trip through the history of bulgarian Computer
production. The film tells his story through conversations with Plamen
Vachkov, the former managing director of the Pravetz factory, with
Doriana Moneva, who installed the printed circuit board at Pravetz and
Maria Petrova, who was a worker at the Pravetz plant and who organised
protests for owed wages, or with Vesselin Bontchev, the virus hunter,
the biggest opponent of Dark Avenger. copy me – i want to travel also
shows rare footage on the introduction of personal computers in
Bulgaria. The fact that the filmmaker?s view of the images of the cold
war is critical and yet caught up in them, and that they carry with them
their own gender and sexual positions brings about staged images that
infuse the film like a queer version of classic spy films: Pauline
Boudrys family came from Bulgaria to Switzerland and the first movie
Pauline saw with them was called „le parapluie bulgare“. It was about
the tricked out umbrella of a bulgarian agent.

Film screening followed by general discussion, socialising and
pleasantness. If you get lucky there might be cake.

a timeless movie. it is a reflection of old and modern time and the power the media represent. “Kane goes from an idealistic journalist to a powerful mogul able to manipulate history through his media empire”

18.NOV 1984 (1956) by Michael Anderson
George Orwell’s novel of a totalitarian future society. In a futuristic, state-run society controlled by “Big Brother” in which love is outlawed, employee of the state Winston Smith falls for Julia, and is tortured and brainwashed for his crime.

25.NOV Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1974) by Pier Paolo Pasolini an adaptation of one of DeSade’s most depraved works channeled through the horrifying excesses of the Second World War with the Fascist ruling classes as its (authentically vile) villains, SALO also contains a lot of contemporary criticism, it is a perfect film metaphor, it shakes us out of our casual attitude to film violence. this film could be remade many times. whether it be pol pot in cambodia, stalin in russia, or america in vietnam, nicaragua, guetemala, there are a thousand salos waiting to be filmed.

==Costs==The training is a suggested donation of £10, if you can afford more than

this, or cant afford this thats okay, just let us know.

This covers the materials we use, a donation to the space thats hosting us and trainers travel to the venue. Any surplus is ploughed back into training/medic resources. The food will be by donation.
